Lee and Lee Structural Engineering Inc. collaborated closely with Corbel Architects to design the Lankershim Apartments, a distinctive project featuring a four-level Type V-A wood-framed structure constructed atop a Type I retail and parking podium, complemented by an additional subterranean parking level below. Our team ensured the integration of advanced structural systems to meet stringent safety and durability standards, optimizing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The combination of wood framing over a concrete podium exemplifies innovative use of mixed materials, addressing seismic, fire, and load requirements while maximizing usable space for residential and commercial purposes.
